my new favorite marinade

yeah, okay, it's all basically premade ingredients. But it mixes well and tastes equally good on chicken as it does on beef (try it on short ribs).

Put in 16-oz container:

1 c. ketchup
about 1/2 c. worcestershire sauce
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 can beer

Put a lid on it (the container) and shake it well till blended. Voila! Marinate to your heart's content! Should do a whole cut-up chicken, or a couple pounds of the ribs.

7-up - that's awesome! I know I had heard that Dr. Pepper can be used as a marinade.

For some reason I keep thinking that tonic water could be incorporated into a sauce...I'll keep you posted on what happens...
