life is a banquet

Auntie Stacey will be hosting her niece for a week in July. I am already scouting places 9 year olds would love in the NY-NJ metropolitan area, with a growing sense of excitement and anticipation.

So far I have planned:

1 day at the shore, because what beats the Jersey shore?
1 day in Brooklyn to see Coney Island and the NY Aquarium (because she loves penguins and she needs to see a REAL boardwalk) , with a possible stop at Spumoni Gardens in Bay Ridge, or possibly Patsy's downtown and a walk on the Promenade with some ice cream
1 day to see the Museum of Natural History and Central Park, and other city stuff I haven't worked out yet
1 day to go to Philadelphia and see the Liberty Bell and have cheese steaks

If anyone has any suggestions, let me know...

The Crayola Factory in Easton can be fun. Maybe we can coordinate a visit? Might be fun for her to have some other kids around one day.
